Children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) are highly valued and respected at St Meriadoc and are supported by skilled and motivated teachers and support staff. We understand that pupils have different educational and behavioural needs and aspirations. As a result of this, we will make every effort to adapt teaching and learning to support the child’s educational development.
Teaching approaches and provision will be refined in order for children with specific needs to access their education. When planning, teachers set suitable learning challenges and respond to pupils’ diverse learning needs. We work hard to ensure that a pupil’s individual challenges are addressed and monitored so that every child makes progress, both academically, socially and emotionally.
Throughout their time at St Meriadoc children may receive varying levels of support according and circumstances.
