At St Meriadoc Infant School our aims of relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) are to:

• Promote mental and physical health and equip our pupils with strategies to support their wellbeing
• Prepare pupils for puberty, and give them an understanding of the importance of health and hygiene
• Help pupils develop feelings of self-respect, confidence and empathy
• Teach pupils the correct vocabulary to describe themselves and their bodies
• Link our RSHE teaching and learning to our Christian and school values
• Acknowledge the impact we can have on others
