At St Meriadoc CofE Junior Academy, we aim to offer an irresistible invitation to learning. Learning is more than taking in facts – it is opportunity, experiences, challenge and much more. At SMJ we plan a range of opportunities throughout the year to bring our pupils’ learning to life and add that irresistibleness to ignite a flame of interest in our pupils.
‘Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also forgive others.’ - Colossians 3.13

Any good to anyone
We have a brilliant new school website. Please go and take a look. Thank you to Mr Cook for all of his hard work setting it up! https://www.st-meriadoc-jnr.cornwall.sch.uk/
Today marked the end of the strangest academic year I have ever known. However, I'd like to end it by celebrating the positives. The pupils of SMJ have risen to every challenge set before them. They have shown resilience and determination at every corner. Their work and enthusiasm for their continued learning has been inspiring. The support and engagement from our school families has been amazing. You have all ensured that this time has been as creative, productive and supportive as possible for your children. You have been teacher and parent; and you have more than earned this coming summer break. The SMJ staff have worked tirelessly to continue to provide an exciting and broad curriculum as well as a nurturing school environment. They have adapted to different ways of working, sometimes on a daily basis, but always keeping our pupils at the heart of their plans. Our MAT and the bonds between our Rainbow schools has only been strengthened during this time. All of these things have cemented for me the real magic of SMJ. I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school, within an amazing community. The staff are, as always, touched by the kind words and generosity shown to us by our families this week. We look forward to seeing more of you in September, back together, where we belong. Enjoy your break. Mrs Anderson
